Sorry. I just tried it and it worked. There is a numberless runner (not Kip) in the lower left corner of page 40. He might be hitting 9 minute per mile pace, but that's it.

That IP address that someone came up with a few pages back - don't suppose the brojos would be willingly to divulge whether that IP address ever posted on letsrun?

Sorry again. Click on the link and then page 40 and you will see the guy I am talking about.

Pulling a Kip or working with Kip in segments, allegedly possible? You take one I'll take one. Not saying that's what happened, just saying it's another possibility.

For some reason I can't pull that particular picture up.[/quote]

very nice work on the 5k hat connection. i was thinking on my run today that maybe he was wearing the different hat on course so that people wouldn't put 2 and 2 together if they did catch some strange guy (on film) walking across mats and then darting off into the woods afterwards.

That IP is the web host for the various fake races. The web hosting site may not be in on it. Perhaps the pages are restricted (as opposed to removed - 403 error instead of 404) for nonpayment
what???

Right because if someone saw him they would describe him the guy wearing the BAA hat or whatever, but he wouldn't be wearing it anymore, same with the clothes. Also, no number visible.

Found one pic so far in the lost & found.

From the above link, click on "Mid Point: View Male Runners (3602)", go to Page 38, 6th picture down, left column. Wearing the long pants, 3/4 sleeve plain-black no-logo shirt. (outfit #1?)

I don't know where "mid point" is on the course, but he's crossing an official 2010 Boston Marathon painted street. Many elites in these shots are fairly spread out, so I think it's well into the race. Anyone know?

I don't think this adds much, but maybe if enough of these little pieces come together if will be more clear.

How bizarre!! When I click, "This is me", then "order and view pictures" it bundles the picture with the other Kip Litton pictures that have his bib showing.

I vote for the bike scenario. It sounds the most plausible explanation so far.

One positive aspect of Kip's cheating is this:

People on this site seem to have united in the recognition that running a sub 3hr marathon, over 40, with a job, wife, kids etc is quite a feat. The fact that someone has tried to con their way there has reinforced what an achievement it actually is.
well done, pal

KipInAHaystack, that's a very nice find!

Same watch and shoes.
But Kip changed hats, took off pants and long sleeve tee-shirt after the mid-way point. Also, no visible bib number whatsoever.

Changing hats during a marathon...really, Kipster??

He usually has a bandana under his hat at races. It would provide more cover for him when he switched hats so people could not identify him by his hair.

50 Sub-3 all over the age 40. Is that what his world record run was about? I hate to be a downer, but Toby Skinner pulled that off back in the 90's. And with a 2:46 Average. Kip better step up his cheating... I mean running if he wants a record.

I like in his BAA 5k pic he's so conscious of having his number show he's holding up his extra long jacket for quite a few steps. And who wears heavy trainers if you can run 17:xx for a 5k?

Found a few more pics in the lost & found. These might provide a few more leads for somebody to check out.

1. First, there is a nice series of three pics.
2. This is at a different point in the race (although still in the "mid race" section. You can see they just crossed timing mats. The painted road has a yellow border instead of the previous blue border. Anybody know where this is in the race?????
3. Still wearing outfit #1
4. for the two strides shown in the pics, he appears to be maintaining pace with the guys around him.

From the above link, click on "Mid Point: View Male Runners (3602)", go to Page 81, 3rd & 4th rows down. Three pictures.
