Can't find the Skipper anywhere; in the 2nd half he would've been well into the top 50 and it's fairly spread out.

What an odd coincidence.

If it makes you feel even better, my daughter and I were at the finish line waiting for a family friend to finish the Freep 1/2 marathon this year and the following happened:

Two males about 30 years old standing behind us heard Katy Perry on the speaker and one said to the other, "I LOVE Katy Perry" and the other said me too. Then my 10 year old daughter said "the guy doing the announcing is AWESOME!". True story. The guys started chuckling and said "you're right young lady, he is pretty awesome". She's 10 and without bragging is advanced in the world of scholastics, basically taking in info and retaining it. My point for saying that is if she thinks you're good, trust me, you're good.

I am in my 40's and don't even know if I spelled Katy Perry's first or last name right. Have a good night.

And you sir are one of the main reasons I am convinced of wrong doing on his part. No photographs and you yourself never saw him once on an out and back course. Yes, what an odd coincidence indeed.

More importantly, congrads on actually running the whole half and doing quite well.

I meant whole race, meaning marathon, not half. It's late and I am tired, hence the typo:)

Nice, w/a referral like that, I'll have to ask for a raise next year! Thanks. FWIW, I have no illusions how 'good' I may be. Am pleased I keep getting asked back each year in Detroit - since '83.

If i were being accused i would want it to prove my innoence and if i were wanting to bust a cheater - this would be a pretty good way to do it.

A real cheater is never going to show up to a race with this type of technology in use and a real honest person is going to want to prove their times are legit.

Or perhaps I could just throw out this challange to Kip: if you want to prove your honesty and innocence (since you are raising money for charity) why not volunteer to wear one to put an end to all this and restore you "good" name.

Um, Houston, Tranquility Base here, the Eagle has landed.

Hey guys, we need to cut ol' Skippy a break- I happen to know for a fact that he is suffering from post-nuptial shutoff in addition to having been overcharged for compression socks (which smelled REALLY bad). In reality, his goal is sub-4:00 (marathon) and he will not give up until he has reached it.

No, they didn't have the half.
He's not in the results...either DQ or DQ'ed himself when he realized that was too quick ala Crim.

Thanks...was hoping you'd offer some insight.
Which relay? didn't see his name in the results for any relay.

No. He was 2nd leg on his relay that got DQ'd. In the pic he's the last leg.

I'm not sure if this has been referenced in this thread, or any of the previous KL threads that were deleted, but has anyone taken a look at the time line of his performances in 2010?

On April 10, 2010, KL knocks out a 2:54 in the St. Louis marathon. A week later, he runs a 17:XX in the BAA 5K, and comes back the next day with a 2:52 full marathon. Two weeks later on May 2, 2010, KL runs an almost identical time in the Cox Providence marathon.

I know there are some talented runners on this board who can put together some solid performances week after week, but the fact that this guy ran three sub-3 hour marathons and a PB 5K in four weeks is suspicious at best, and a complete fraud at worst.

The best though are the pictures of this clown walking during the 5K, or changing his clothes and shoes halfway through the race. What a clown.

On a more serious note, how does this guy sleep at night knowing that his cheating has been exposed, or show up to a race and hope that no one recognizes him and calls him out in front of everyone?

I believe Study of K. Litton Running has covered it pretty well.

Doing what you mentioned is one thing, but having proof of actually doing it is another. When you repeatedly don't show up in photos or at checkpoints (mats) that everyone else is, what conclusion can a reasonably thinking person come to?

As I pointed out, look at this drop per mile from one 15k to the next 15k in a year, and on the same course. Running at all out 5k the day before a marathon? Yeah, that's how I taper:)

I think the hot water he's in is now officially boiling over! This board has laid it all out in the open and I truly believe that many of his friends are starting to wonder themselves. But that's just me.

1:30:13 and then a 1:22:45. Wow, again, if you did that during the second half you would have passed people at a fairly rapid pace. So then, what is his claim to get to the starting line in this race? Regardless, his second half would be at 2:45:30 pace. Where did that come from?

The good thing, he's definitely known now. If I have the time and he's entered at Bayshore this May, please let me know as I could use a good 24 mile bike ride, errrr....26.2, sorry.
